Capital Planning & Investment UnitThe Capital Investment and Planning Department (CIPD) is responsible for the conceptualization and implementation of all capital investment works in accordance with the Company’s Strategic Plan. As our name suggests, we quite literally develop and improve existing capital infrastructural assets, such as pipe networks and production plants, so that our Operations Department can deliver improved levels of service to our valued customers. The CIPD currently comprises of three (3) units charged with the delivery of projects funded by: (a) The Government of Guyana, (GOG) - Annual capital developmental works along the Coast and at Linden (b) The Inter American Development Bank, (IDB) - Rehabilitation of the Water & Sewerage Networks within (c) The World Bank (IDA-WB) Water Sector Consolidation Project – (Construction of three (3) new Water The CIPD is responsible for all stages of project development, management and evaluation managing large and small, capital-intensive projects within GWI. The Team also liaises with other organizational entities who are undertaking water-related projects. The primary activities are project management, and geographic-information management.
